Qualify Need Before Budget
Use BANT in a buyer-centered order that starts with need and urgency.
The buyer does not owe you qualification data until you have earned relevance. Need first Start with the business problem and the cost of inaction. Need is the evidence that makes every other BANT field meaningful. Budget and authority second Ask about money and decision process after you can explain why the question matters. Tie the question to the buyer's stated problem, not your CRM. Timeline as consequence A real timeline comes from what happens if the problem waits. Ask what date, event, customer, target, or risk makes the timing matter.
