Specify the audit events an internal tool should store for workflow accountability.
Audit trail is designed before the dispute, not after it. Every internal tool stores current state. Better tools also store the decision path. That path matters when the workflow touches refunds, approvals, access, employee data, customer commitments, or regulated records. Minimum audit questions Who or what changed the record?
