Assign field ownership for internal-tool fields that trigger workflow, permissions, or reporting.
Fields that drive work need owners. A field can look harmless until it controls routing, reports, or permissions. The word Active may mean contract signed to Procurement, payment enabled to Finance, or security review complete to IT. If one field carries all three meanings, the tool creates conflict even when the data is technically present.
