Document Information That Earns Its Place

Distinguish useful documented information from low-value paperwork in an ISO 9001 QMS.

The move: separate information that controls work from information that decorates the QMS. Documented information has two jobs. It can guide the work before or during the activity, or it can preserve evidence after the activity. A controlled work instruction prevents drift.
