Recall the Universal Job Map steps and when to use them.
Define Clarify goal, constraints, stakes, and who executes the job. Example: decide what “ready to launch” means. Locate and prepare Find inputs, resources, people, data, and conditions needed before execution. Many hidden competitors live here. Product flow vs job map Use both, but do not confuse them. “We already have a journey map.” Workshop objection. Your line “Great. Let’s strip out our touchpoints for ten minutes and name what the customer is trying to accomplish at each step.” Do not argue about artifacts; convert the artifact to job language. It keeps prior work while re-centering on solution-free progress.
