Keep the Yard Ready with 5S
Use 5S to reduce wasted search time and readiness failures in a towing yard.
If the driver has to search, the yard is already late. 5S works because it makes readiness visible. Towing operations depend on small objects that become large delays: keys, straps, skates, cones, fork attachments, damage forms, lockout wedges, tire plugs, chargers, and release paperwork. A clean-looking shelf is not enough if drivers still have to ask where things are. Sort Remove anything not needed for the work area.
