Read the SERP Before the Spreadsheet

Infer dominant search intent from visible SERP patterns before scoring keywords.

Read the result page like a brief from the market. Look first at format. Are the winners templates, videos, definitions, category pages, or comparisons? Format is intent made visible. Then read titles and snippets for repeated promises: “free template,” “best tools,” “pricing,” “examples,” “near me,” “setup guide.” Finally, look for gaps that still fit the job. Do not force your preferred format onto a query. A company may want a product page, but a query asking “examples” may reward explanation and proof before conversion.
