Reset the Station Before Speed Matters
Apply 5S to remove station friction before the dinner rush begins.
The move: organize for the rush, not for appearances. 5S gives kitchen managers a practical sequence for improving a station. Do not start by buying bins. Start by removing what does not belong. Extra tools, duplicate bottles, dead labels, and mystery backups create motion and hesitation. Once the station is sorted, set the remaining items where the work naturally happens: high-frequency tools in the shortest reach, backups out of the work path, sanitation visible, allergen tools separated, and labels facing out.
