Use Value Stream Maps for Dock Delay

Use value stream mapping to distinguish work time from waiting time at a dock.

The teach Value stream mapping makes material and information flow visible from trigger to customer. Its mechanism is separating processing time from elapsed lead time, then exposing waiting, rework, and excess movement. In logistics, the hidden constraint is often not the task people are doing; it is the queue, missing signal, exception hold, or handoff between tasks. Mapping both the shipment and the information signal prevents teams from adding effort to the wrong place. Visual modules Use stat tiles for the signal, a before-after panel for the changed decision, and a marigold common-trap callout for the shortcut to avoid.
