Recall and apply core machine-guarding hazard terms during field observations.
Point of operation The zone where the machine performs work on material, such as cutting, punching, boring, forming, or shearing. Ask where hands go during loading, holding, cycling, clearing, and removing material. In-running nip point A place where moving surfaces pull material inward, such as a belt entering a pulley or two rollers turning together.
