Make Quality Requirements Measurable
Convert vague quality requirements into measurable criteria using a quality model.
Adjectives are invitations to argue later. Quality requirements need observable targets. ISO/IEC 25010 helps by giving you a quality vocabulary. When someone says "fast," ask whether they mean response time, throughput, capacity, or resource use. When someone says "easy," ask which user, task, context, error, and completion threshold matter. Attribute Name the quality category. Performance, reliability, security, usability, maintainability, and portability imply different evidence. Condition State the operating condition.
