Map a buyer problem into jobs, pains, and gains before presenting a solution.
Value is not your feature list. It is the buyer's changed business reality. Most deals weaken early because sellers present the offer before they have named the work the buyer is trying to accomplish. The Value Proposition Canvas prevents that drift by separating three things: the customer's job, the pains in the current state, and the gains that would matter if the work improved.
