Catch the Body Cue Before the Reply

Notice a physical stress cue and use it as a cue to pause before responding.

The body often notices reactivity before the mind admits it. Notice the cue Mindfulness at work is not an attempt to become calm on command. In the MBSR tradition, the practical move is to notice present-moment experience with less judgment so you can see the automatic reaction before it becomes behavior. In a workplace, that means catching the first body signal, the first story your mind writes, and the first impulse to type, defend, interrupt, or over-function.
