Recall the checks that turn a KPI into a reusable BI asset.
What is the first metric-contract question? What exactly is being measured, at what entity and grain? If you cannot name the counted thing and the row-level truth behind it, the metric is not ready for self-serve use. Metric change or dashboard change? If the business meaning changes, fix upstream. If only the viewing experience changes, fix downstream.
