A metric label is not a metric definition. A real metric definition includes the business event, the entity being counted or summed, the time dimension used for grouping, the filters baked into the rule, and any derived logic like ratios or rolling windows. If those ingredients are scattered across dashboards, teams will produce different answers with the same label.
