Use JSA as a Conversation
Use a job safety analysis to identify task steps, hazards, and controls with the workers doing the job.
The JSA is not protection until the crew uses it to see the job differently. Break the job into real steps A useful JSA starts with observable steps in sequence. If a step is too broad, hazards hide inside it. If steps are too detailed, the conversation drowns. The right level lets the crew point to a place, tool, energy source, or body position.
