Model Families Are a Portfolio, Not a Ladder

Differentiate flagship, workhorse, and budget model families so you stop treating every task as a race to the largest model.

The expensive model is not the adult in the room for every task. Providers now publish model families because one general-purpose answer is operationally weak.
