Name the Mode Before You Move
Choose a conflict response by reading assertiveness, cooperativeness, stakes, and time pressure.
A conflict mode is a steering choice, not a personality label. When conflict starts, most professionals move from habit: press harder, smooth it over, delay, split the difference, or invite a joint solve. The TKI axes make the choice deliberate. Assertiveness asks how much your concern must be advanced. Cooperativeness asks how much the other party's concern must be advanced.
