Name the One Rep
Define a narrow, repeatable practice rep from a broad workplace skill goal.
The move: reduce the skill until feedback has somewhere to land. A broad development goal feels motivating because it points in a good direction. It is also hard to practice because it hides the behavior that needs to change. Deliberate practice asks for a smaller unit: the rep. A rep is a repeatable attempt at one edge of the skill, performed under enough real pressure to matter.
