Document the Text and the Model

Distinguish dataset documentation from model documentation for an NLP release.

Reframe: an NLP score without data and model context is an incomplete claim. Two Artifacts, Two Jobs A dataset sheet explains the text supply chain: why the data exists, how it was collected, what it contains, how it was cleaned, and where it should not be reused. A model card explains the trained system: intended use, evaluation setup, performance, limitations, and caveats.
