Connect Metrics, Logs, and Traces
Explain when to use metrics, logs, and traces, and why correlation identifiers connect them.
The move: give every signal a job and a connection point. Metrics answer aggregate questions: how many, how fast, how often, how full. Logs answer event questions: what happened, with which safe context, and what message or error class was recorded.
