Run a focused after-action review after an outdoor recreation safety incident.
A participant developed heat illness on a guided desert walk. The evacuation succeeded, but the team needs to learn before the next program. Ask what was expected, what happened, what went well and why, and what must change with an owner and date. The common shortcut is to either blame the guide or say the evacuation worked and move on.
