Par Levels With PDCA
Apply PDCA to adjust one bar par level using demand data, a limited test, and a review point.
PDCA turns ordering from "what hurt last week" into "what did we learn this week." Plan Start with one item and one prediction. Define the current par, proposed par, expected result, and measure. Use service language: stockout count, substitutions, emergency purchases, waste, tied-up cash, or cellar space. Do Run the change small enough that you can read it. One SKU, one weekend, one supplier line, or one service period is usually enough.
