Anchor Ratings to Standards
Use a rating standard as the first anchor in a calibration discussion.
The reframe: calibration is not a vote on adjectives; it is a standard-to-evidence match. Start With the Standard A calibration room needs a common ruler before it needs opinions. Write the role expectation, level definition, or rating descriptor first. This reduces drift between managers who use the same label differently.
