Plain Language Is Access
Apply plain-language principles to make workplace instructions more inclusive and usable.
Use a three-part access check: audience, action, proof. Audience asks who must use this and what they already know. Action asks what they must do next. Proof asks whether a real reader can understand it without a translator, manager, or second pass. The more consequential the message, the more important it is to test it with someone outside the drafting group.
