Spend polygons where the camera pays
Prioritize polygon and detail investment by visible impact instead of equal polish everywhere.
The move: allocate detail by viewed impact. Pareto thinking is a prioritization lens: a small number of causes often account for a large share of the result. In modeling, this shows up when a viewer judges the whole asset from a few cues. The silhouette tells them whether the form is right. Contact edges tell them whether it feels grounded. Hero surfaces tell them whether the material is believable. Deformation loops tell rigging whether the model will survive motion. This does not excuse messy hidden work. Baseline quality still matters: no broken normals, no wild scale, no unusable UVs. But…
