Coach the system, not the ceremony
Diagnose a weak agile event by the feedback loop it is supposed to create.
The teach A ceremony is useful only when it changes what the team can see or do. Agile coaches often inherit teams that perform the visible parts of Scrum while the learning loop is missing. The Scrum Guide makes the mechanism explicit: transparency enables inspection, and inspection without adaptation is wasteful. That means your coaching target is not whether the event happened.
