Use Little's Law to see the packhouse queue
Apply Little's Law to diagnose a packhouse WIP and flow-time bottleneck.
The packhouse keeps starting extra lots when it feels behind, but trucks are leaving late. Little's Law: WIP = Throughput x Flow Time. Therefore Flow Time = WIP / Throughput. Starting more lots can look like action while increasing flow time and congestion if the bottleneck throughput does not change. Before Start more bins whenever the team feels behind; judge progress by how busy the floor looks.
