Put patient benefit before AI wow

Use WHO ethical principles to test whether a healthcare AI proposal protects autonomy, safety, equity, and accountability.

The move: make the patient-benefit case before the technology case. Autonomy Will clinicians and patients know where AI influenced the work, and can a human question or override it without penalty? Safety What specific harm could happen if the model is wrong, incomplete, overconfident, or used outside its intended setting? Transparency What does each user need to understand: patient, clinician, operations leader, compliance reviewer, and support team? Accountability Who owns correction, monitoring, communication, and stopping the workflow if the risk profile changes?
