Map the opportunity before you invent the AI solution
Build an opportunity map that separates desired outcome, customer opportunity, solution idea, and assumption test.
The reframe: a strong AI idea should know which opportunity it serves. Outcome first The top of the tree is the result the team is trying to move. Without it, AI discovery becomes a collection of impressive demos. The outcome makes trade-offs visible: activation, retention, margin, support deflection, risk reduction, or workflow speed. Opportunities before solutions An opportunity is a customer need, pain point, or desire. It is not "build an AI analyst."
