Decompose a complex prompt into ordered steps the model can execute and validate.
Break the task down when your prompt has multiple jobs inside it. A big ask often hides a sequence: read the source, extract facts, group patterns, decide what matters, draft the output, and check it against constraints. If you skip the sequence, the model may jump straight to fluent writing before the diagnosis is sound. Use steps like this: Extract the relevant facts from the source.
