Replace jumping with four on the floor
Build a replacement greeting behavior using antecedent control and differential reinforcement.
Miso jumps because jumping has reliably produced visitor attention. Reinforce four paws on the floor as the access route to greeting. The common trap is saying "off" after the jump while visitors keep petting. That makes jumping the first step in the attention chain. Before Paws on visitors -> laughter and petting -> repeated jumping. After Four paws on floor -> marker -> visitor approaches for brief greeting.
