Rewrite a weak multiple-choice item
Revise a flawed item so the stem is clear, the key is defensible, and distractors reflect plausible misconceptions.
Weak item: "What is the best way to assess learning? A. A good quiz B. A realistic simulation with a rubric and manager observation C. Ask people if they liked the course D. Do nothing." Clear stem, defensible key, plausible distractors. The longest option is obviously the key, one distractor is a joke, and the stem says "best" without naming the objective or stakes.
