Start with the benefit, not the deliverable
Distinguish project deliverables from the measurable benefits they are supposed to create.
The move: describe the result the business must see before you describe the thing the project will ship. Output An output is the artifact or capability the project creates. It may be necessary, but it is not proof of value. A new dashboard, workflow, integration, or policy can be complete and still unused. Business change Business change is the behavior shift that makes the output matter.
