Create sample metadata that supports interpretation, reuse, and auditability.
The move: treat metadata as part of the dataset, not a side note. FAIR asks whether data can be found, accessed, combined, and reused by people and machines. MIxS brings that mindset into sequence data by naming contextual fields that make biological sequences interpretable. You do not need every possible field for a beginner project.
