Keep the Board at Governance Altitude
Distinguish board-level framing from operating-detail framing in live and written board communication.
Governance altitude is a framing choice. The board's role changes the sentence An operating sentence says what the team is doing. A governance sentence says what the board must judge. Hiring update becomes approve a headcount shift. Security workstream becomes risk posture relative to appetite. Customer escalation becomes concentration risk and renewal exposure. Facts still matter Keeping altitude does not mean speaking in abstractions. It means choosing facts that support the board's responsibility.
