Use service blueprint layers to find the hidden handoff that creates birthday party delays.
The move: map the party as the parent experiences it, then show the work happening out of sight. A service blueprint has layers. The top layer is what the customer does: arrives, checks in, gets shoes, finds the lane, waits for food, sings, pays, leaves. The next layer is frontstage work: what employees do in view of the parent. Below the line of visibility is backstage work: lane assignment, bumper setup, kitchen prep, arcade card loading, and exception handling.
