Recall OARS moves that reduce shame and increase budget specificity.

OARS What does OARS ask the coach to do? Four conversation moves “I am just bad with money.” Shame statement Coach line “It sounds like the label is heavy. Can we look for the one moment where the plan gets hardest?” Do not argue with the identity label; redirect it into evidence. It lowers shame while creating specificity. Which is more coach-like? The OARS move diagnoses before prescribing. What should a summary include? The pattern, the client-owned reason to change, and the next action. A summary is the bridge from conversation to commitment.
