Build a Demand-Resource Ledger

Classify current pressures as demands and identify the missing resources that would buffer them.

The ledger move: list demands and resources before you judge yourself. Demands Workload, time pressure, emotional labor, ambiguity, interruptions, and conflicting goals all consume capacity. Resources Autonomy, support, tools, role clarity, staffing, feedback, recovery time, and decision rights help people meet demands without burning down the system. Why it works Once the gap is visible, you can ask for a resource instead of apologizing for being human. The conversation shifts from personal toughness to work design. > Overload is often a resource gap wearing a personal-failure mask.
