Start with the decision, not the deck

Frame a business case around the specific decision the approver must make.

The move: write the approval sentence first. The Five Case Lens A strong business case answers five tests: strategic fit, economic value, commercial viability, financial affordability, and management deliverability. If one test is missing, the approver has to infer it under pressure. The Decision Sentence Use one sentence: "Approve [option] for [scope] at [cost] by [date], because [value], with [risk control]."
