Commit to using Kanban flow metrics in a specific operational review.
Use WIP, throughput, and work item age in a real implementation, onboarding, support, or reporting queue review. A recurring business-operations review where individual updates currently hide system flow. I will open the review by naming WIP, throughput, and the three oldest active items before we discuss new starts. Then I will ask which item we should unblock or stop starting before accepting more work. In 2 days, check whether the review changed one start, stop, or unblock decision.
