Find a broken assembly mate by cause category

Diagnose a broken CAD assembly mate by sorting possible causes before repairing constraints.

An assembly opens with failed mates after a part configuration changed. Effect -> cause category -> smallest durable repair Deleting failed mates and dragging components into position makes the assembly look fixed while leaving the cause active. Name the effect Identify the first failed mate and the reference it expected: face, axis, plane, edge, or component. Starting with one effect prevents a warning list from overwhelming the diagnosis.
