Map the event from the guest back
Use a service blueprint to identify guest-visible moments, backstage dependencies, and handoff risks before an event.
The event is not the prep list. It is the guest journey. A service blueprint starts with the experience outside-in. In catering, that means mapping what guests will see, wait for, smell, hear, hold, ask about, and remember. Only then do you map the backstage work: kitchen timing, runners, captains, venue cues, rental placement, signage, and backup inventory.
