Write an ADR for managed messaging
Draft an ADR that compares cloud messaging options and records consequences.
The order service needs asynchronous events for fulfillment, invoicing, and notifications. The team is choosing between managed pub/sub, self-managed Kafka, and direct synchronous calls. An ADR captures context, options, decision, and consequences so future teams can understand and safely evolve the architecture. The common trap is documenting only the winning service. That hides the rejected trade-offs and makes future changes look arbitrary.
