Design the handoff, not just the task
Specify a handoff with ready criteria, confirmation timing, and RACI roles.
The move: define what ready means before anyone says "ready." Ready criteria List the conditions that make the work usable by the next person. For design, that might include states, copy, responsive views, analytics, and unresolved trade-offs. For data, it might include fields, definitions, sample rows, and known caveats. Confirmation norm The receiving team needs a clear window to accept the handoff or flag gaps. Without a window, every handoff becomes a slow negotiation.
