Do not confuse delighters with basics
Classify consumer-electronics features as must-be, performance, or delighter before making launch trade-offs.
The move: protect must-be expectations before chasing delight. Kano separates value into categories. Must-be features are expected. If they work, customers barely notice; if they fail, satisfaction collapses. Performance features create more satisfaction as they improve: longer battery life, better camera quality, lower latency, stronger water resistance. Delighters are unexpected positives: a magical setup animation, a clever charging case, a camera mode that feels new.
