Use privacy-by-design questions to decide what connected-device data to collect, explain, protect, and avoid.
The move: treat data collection as a feature customers must be able to trust. The NIST Privacy Framework gives teams a way to manage privacy risk across product, engineering, operations, and communication. For connected devices, the core question is not only "Can we collect this?" It is "Should this product collect this, for this purpose, in this way, and can the customer understand and control it?"
