Map intent before you map keywords

Separate pillar and cluster opportunities by search intent so pages do not cannibalize each other.

Intent is the design logic underneath a healthy cluster. Keywords are evidence, but intent tells you what page to build. If two search phrases lead the same reader to the same next action, they often belong on one page. If the reader expects a different format, decision, or CTA, you likely need a separate cluster page.
