Read clauses as risk controls

Interpret contract clauses as controls against uncertainty on business objectives.

Clauses are risk treatments Risk language gives commercial teams a shared way to talk about clauses. First, define the objective: revenue, continuity, compliance, safety, confidentiality, implementation speed. Second, define the uncertainty: what could happen that affects the objective. Third, evaluate the consequence and likelihood. Fourth, choose a treatment: accept, reduce, transfer, avoid, or monitor. This does not replace legal judgment; it makes the business judgment visible. Use this as a working lens, not as a legal conclusion.
