Backfill readiness deck

Recall the readiness checks that make a historical backfill safe to run.

Scope What is the first backfill question? Which exact partitions, entities, or source offsets are being rewritten? A bounded scope prevents accidental all-history rewrites and makes validation possible. Write strategy Append or replace? Backfills should be idempotent: rerunning the same scope should not create extra rows. Stakeholder pressure Can we skip validation and check the dashboard after? We need this today. The backfill touches revenue history used by Finance and a CRM export. Your line We can keep the run fast, but validation is the release gate.
